WHAT DO YOU FEEL A RIGHT TO LIFE IS? DO YOU BELIEVE THIS RIGHT TO LIFE CAN BE TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU? IF SO, FOR WHAT REASON?

The Declaration of Independence states that people have an inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What do you feel a right to life is? Do you believe this right to life can be taken away from you? If so, for what reason?

B. What do you think liberty is? Is liberty the same thing as freedom? Do you think the USA is a land of liberty, freedom, or both?

C. What do you think Thomas Jefferson meant when he wrote that people have a right to the “pursuit of happiness”? What do you think the pursuit of happiness is? Is there ever a time or reason when a person should be prohibited from pursuing his or her happiness?
